A lovely link

I have added a lovely link for a lovely lady. Her name is Judy Olson and she takes the most beautiful photography. Very unique and different. She takes the ordinary and makes it extraordinary. She has many beautiful photographs. My favorite was a turtle from straight on, I asked her how she did it and she told me but I'm not telling. You'll have to figure it out on your own or she's nice enough to tell you too. She also takes beautiful Adirondack photos too. She's a treasure, if you go to her website you won't be disappointed. Prepare to be in awe.

Besides being a wonderful photographer she is a wonderful friend too. One I just met over the summer. She was a Strolling Village Artisan before I joined the coop and she gave me the most wonderful advice about my future as an artist. I should have listened to her and ditched those darn pillows. Well that is really all I have to say. If you read this go take a look, her work is beautiful.

Today I am thankful for the blessings I have. For the family who love me. For the friends who love me. For my wondrous dog and all the pets I've loved and who have loved me. More Ornaments

Just passing by. I have spent the day making more ornaments. I am really loving making ornaments this year. I give thanks to Kathy from the Katbird Shop who said that they are little pieces of portable art. It gave me something to strive for. I am enjoying the act of making the ornaments(except for the stuffing which I wish I had a couple of Santa's elves to do). I really enjoyed making Santa's fur on his jacket and his beard and making the french knot sheep so I got up close with the camera so you could see the details. French knots are my favorite, favorite stitch. Also a music recommendation. I am listening to Death Cab For Cutie's Plans which I took out of the library. Very haunting and thought provoking and the most wonderful music to stitch in a meditative way to. For those of you who are Twilight fans they sing the song Meet Me at The Equinox from the movie. I'm not a Twilight fan but I am a Death Cab For Cutie fan so that is where my interest lies. T

A little joy 002 , a photo by DebraAnn813 on Flickr. I didn't want to end this year without expressing just how joyful this year was. Not the whole year but so much of it. At the end of this year I'm lucky to share my love of family, love of embroidery, love of music with masses. I've had such wonderful opportunities, such wonderful times with friends and family, such wonderful time hand embroidering and I've discovered how easy it is to be happy with a needle in my hand and headphones on my ears!
