Still peakedy!

Still feeling a little under the weather so no new photos, no tagging, no self reflection(that is self preservation at the moment). I've been busy working on my hand embroidery project and watching politics(boo hiss). I ventured out with a friend and we talked about a possible business opportunity. It's too early and I'm too peakedy to really discuss it but I'm feeling excited and I know what that means. So no pictures and no new news but check back soon! Happy Stitching

Hope you feel better very soon! I've had a cold and (sore throat that comes and goes) myself for just over a week, so understand how you feel!! Laura J

Sounds interesting, can't wait until you can talk about it. I hope whatever it is, it works out for you.
Most importantly, feel better. Rest and drink lots of liquids. Try to stay in bed as much as you can.

Well seems the "flu" was just a bad case of fibromyalgia. Still feeling a wee bit under the weather but now that I know I am suffering without dropping dead I'm ready to move on! Thanks for all your well wishes they really were appreciated.

Just passing by. I have spent the day making more ornaments. I am really loving making ornaments this year. I give thanks to Kathy from the Katbird Shop who said that they are little pieces of portable art. It gave me something to strive for. I am enjoying the act of making the ornaments(except for the stuffing which I wish I had a couple of Santa's elves to do). I really enjoyed making Santa's fur on his jacket and his beard and making the french knot sheep so I got up close with the camera so you could see the details. French knots are my favorite, favorite stitch. Also a music recommendation. I am listening to Death Cab For Cutie's Plans which I took out of the library. Very haunting and thought provoking and the most wonderful music to stitch in a meditative way to. For those of you who are Twilight fans they sing the song Meet Me at The Equinox from the movie. I'm not a Twilight fan but I am a Death Cab For Cutie fan so that is where my interest lies. T...

Symbols and Circles ReDo

Hi All! I spent my Mother's Day joyfully revamping Symbols and Circles. Still not sure I like it but I like it better then it's previous incarnation, it gave me a couple of hours of blissfully joyful french knotting, it's a bit more interesting, and more reflective of my current work. So that is that and I will now have it at my future shows and maybe it will even make another appearance at Katbird. I am still working on my flame thrower hand and only have a few flamethrowing fingers left. It's on watercolored fabric and the colored fabric makes such a big difference and I enjoy painting on the fabric too. I had a wonderful Mother's Day, nice peaceful and embroidery filled. I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day too. There are a lot of great things on my links so please take a look if you have a chance. They are so inspiring to me I hope they do the same for you. The Blessings Of Ovation

Today I am thankful for the blessings I have. For the family who love me. For the friends who love me. For my wondrous dog and all the pets I've loved and who have loved me. For the idea of art and creation and the ability of that medium that allows anyone to find peace. Even a tortured soul like me. And for the daily inspirations of life where no one would expect to find them. I was watching Ovation tv the other night and they are doing their Everything is Art week. I am so inspired watching artists and designers and understanding where they come from. More from their work process then the finished project. I seem to understand their art and their process better than I understand my own.
