Oh well!

It seems I've gone missing again. I had a reason for it but it's a crazy reason. I have been working and finished a project. It's not framed yet but I may share it tomorrow anyway. You'll see why if I do!

I've been using the laptop and talking politics but of course, but the Inspire Me Thursday prompt was a face and I was going to share Stella. She's in my flickr account if you care to see her. She is based on my desktop where I can't watch politics(but of course) so I put off my blog entry and well I guess you can figure out the rest so although I have a wonderful project to share with Inspire Me Thursday she's sleeping right now. And I've been sleeping with her. Or more accurately spending too much time on the laptop and watching politics on tv.

So there is my plight and my oh well story. I will start posting more regularly now that all the hoopla is basically behind us. So please accept my apology and hope to see you soon. Happy Stitching!

That white embroidered bag is great -- very elegant. You know, my daughter makes all her own costumes -- that's about a third of her presentation.

just thought I'd stop by and let you know I miss Bnet, but my computer works much better when I avoid the place completely.

Just passing by. I have spent the day making more ornaments. I am really loving making ornaments this year. I give thanks to Kathy from the Katbird Shop who said that they are little pieces of portable art. It gave me something to strive for. I am enjoying the act of making the ornaments(except for the stuffing which I wish I had a couple of Santa's elves to do). I really enjoyed making Santa's fur on his jacket and his beard and making the french knot sheep so I got up close with the camera so you could see the details. French knots are my favorite, favorite stitch. Also a music recommendation. I am listening to Death Cab For Cutie's Plans which I took out of the library. Very haunting and thought provoking and the most wonderful music to stitch in a meditative way to. For those of you who are Twilight fans they sing the song Meet Me at The Equinox from the movie. Symbols and Circles ReDo

Hi All! I spent my Mother's Day joyfully revamping Symbols and Circles. Still not sure I like it but I like it better then it's previous incarnation, it gave me a couple of hours of blissfully joyful french knotting, it's a bit more interesting, and more reflective of my current work. So that is that and I will now have it at my future shows and maybe it will even make another appearance at Katbird. I am still working on my flame thrower hand and only have a few flamethrowing fingers left. It's on watercolored fabric and the colored fabric makes such a big difference and I enjoy painting on the fabric too. I had a wonderful Mother's Day, nice peaceful and embroidery filled. I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day too. There are a lot of great things on my links so please take a look if you have a chance. They are so inspiring to me I hope they do the same for you. The Blessings Of Ovation

Today I am thankful for the blessings I have. For the family who love me. For the friends who love me. For my wondrous dog and all the pets I've loved and who have loved me. For the idea of art and creation and the ability of that medium that allows anyone to find peace. Even a tortured soul like me. And for the daily inspirations of life where no one would expect to find them. I was watching Ovation tv the other night and they are doing their Everything is Art week. I am so inspired watching artists and designers and understanding where they come from. More from their work process then the finished project. I seem to understand their art and their process better than I understand my own.
