Popping in!

No pictures to share. Seems I have a lot of framing to do. And then a lot of picture taking to do and oh well just a lot of stitchin to do too. I finished a hand embroidered tree this week and another piece I call Swaying which both have to be framed. I started another hand, I'm thinking of downloading it every couple of days in progress so let me know if you think that's a good idea. I made some little twigs and berry hearts in frames for my neighborhood friends, I made Dancin for my friend Carol in peaceful blue colors, and I am contemplating a piece for my friend Emily. She likes dragonflies but I want to make it special so I'm contemplating how to follow through.

The weather here has been frightful not delightful so I've been busy stitchin and reading and all those fun inside things we love to do all year round but seem much less guilty about when the weather is frightful.

Getting ready for Christmas. I still haven't sent out my Christmas cards but I did write them. Hope all of you have a fabulous Christmas and I'll be back soon with pictures I promise.

Hi there ... how have you been, how was Christmas and are you happy with the election results? I've missed visiting your blog, got so caught up with work, but am back and making sure I keep up with my blog and with everyone I've made a connection with. Today I am thankful for the blessings I have. For the family who love me. For the friends who love me. For my wondrous dog and all the pets I've loved and who have loved me. More Ornaments

Just passing by. I have spent the day making more ornaments. I am really loving making ornaments this year. I give thanks to Kathy from the Katbird Shop who said that they are little pieces of portable art. It gave me something to strive for. I am enjoying the act of making the ornaments(except for the stuffing which I wish I had a couple of Santa's elves to do). I really enjoyed making Santa's fur on his jacket and his beard and making the french knot sheep so I got up close with the camera so you could see the details. French knots are my favorite, favorite stitch. Also a music recommendation. I am listening to Death Cab For Cutie's Plans which I took out of the library. Very haunting and thought provoking and the most wonderful music to stitch in a meditative way to. For those of you who are Twilight fans they sing the song Meet Me at The Equinox from the movie. I'm not a Twilight fan but I am a Death Cab For Cutie fan so that is where my interest lies. T

A little joy 002 , a photo by DebraAnn813 on Flickr. I didn't want to end this year without expressing just how joyful this year was. Not the whole year but so much of it. At the end of this year I'm lucky to share my love of family, love of embroidery, love of music with masses. I've had such wonderful opportunities, such wonderful times with friends and family, such wonderful time hand embroidering and I've discovered how easy it is to be happy with a needle in my hand and headphones on my ears!
