Breathe

His breath went through me,
A slight quivering string of light,
Illuminating the night sky,
With beauty and form, ethereal as though an angel had set my soul on fire.

I gasped, was it real or just my mind playing tricks on me,
It was so beautiful I did not care,
I could not breathe with the feel of the wind,
Whispering through the willows of my mind.

In the morning it was gone, but it left such illumination,
It was a breath of love unlike any other,
A beautiful crimson sunspot left on the outer surfaces of my heart,
Leaving an imprint I shall not long forget.
